Published in Hardcover by Springer Pub Co (June, 1997)
Average review score:

Maintaining Competence in Old AgeThis compilation of important issues in the field of Aging is authored by several renowned researchers. It is a volume which covers a broad range of cutting edge research findings and commentaries on research conducted within the last decade. This interdisciplinary look into the societal mechanisms that affect older adults includes support systems, cognitive training, and environmental supports. It touches on active life expectancy, disability, institutional life, and more. These treatises, brought together in one volume, add validity to each other on these cutting edge research topics dealing with maintaining competence in old age. I not only found this book to be informative for my independent research studies, but also rather enjoyed reading it. I think it is an important volume to have on your shelf if you are interested in the field of Aging, whether you are a current researcher, undergrad or grad student, or involved in the field of Gerontology in any way.

Starting Here, Starting Now: Vocal Selections
Published in Paperback by Warner Brothers Publications (September, 2000)
Average review score:

Starting Here, Starting Now, You Must Buy This Book!'Starting Here, Starting Now' is by Richard Maltby Jr., who worked on (among other things) Miss Saigon and Closer Than Ever. It is also by David Shire who worked on Saturday Night Fever and Closer Than Ever. This book is great for anyone who is looking to broaden their knoweledge of musical theatre. One critic said about Starting Here, Starting Now- "Probably no other songwriters alive could provide a full evening of songs so generally unfamiliar and yet so delightful as these." There are 15 songs in the book, the best of which are Crossword Puzzle, I Don't Remember Christmas, I Hear Bells, I Think I May Want to Remember Today, A Little Bit Off, Today is the First Day of the Rest of my Life, and What About Today?. There are plenty of solo pieces in the book, which would be great for any audition. Every song in this book has witty, sensitive lyrics. Starting Here, Starting Now is GREAT!

The Stowe Missal (Henry Bradshaw Society, Vols. Xxxi & Xxxii)
Published in Hardcover by Boydell & Brewer (December, 1989)
Average review score:

Essential ReadingThis Latin and Old Irish codex contains the only complete Irish liturgy to survive the supression of the Irish churches by the Roman Catholic English Normans.
It provides a valuable means of understanding the Christianity of the pre-Schism Irish churches and what was lost in their submission to Roman practices.

South-Western College Keyboarding: Microsoft Word 6.0 Wordperfect 6.0/6.1/for Windows/Book and Disk
Published in Paperback by South-Western College/West (December, 1999)
I really liked the Tribute to Pete Maravich in the middle of the book. I saw him play in his floppy socks at Auburn back in the early 70s and he was phenomenal. This is a great book for any serious SEC basketball fan. All of the great players' and coaches' stories are there. I highly recommend it!
